Independent (Kampala)-Inside the brick walls of a small music shop in Kigali's Nyamirambo neighbourhood, patrons flip through an impressive collection of CD's displayed along the shop's walls, most sold at no more than Rwf3,000, as DJ Bob blares the latest local tunes, ushering in a sense of liveliness into the otherwise ordinary settings. Some CDs are legitimate, but loyal customers, says Bob, have the privilege of selecting the songs they want at a cheaper rate compared to the shelved ones.
